Shortly before I had sex with your mams.
when me and your mom made you
At some point in my teen-hood, I just found preference in making your mother ejaculate.
16ish like any other normal human.
I was like 13 when I moved past the pleb bands and I've been a bit tired of metal since I was 16 or 17, but I still listen to it occasionally.

not liking something you used to like =/= growing out of it

>>63157968
I didn't really become a metalhead until this year. Safe to say some people grow into it
>>63157968
Whose this semon demon?
>>63159499
I'm not sure you read the question in the OP correctly.
People who grew into metal don't need to answer because the question is obviously not directed toward them.
>>63159132
no
"growing out of it" implies that the reason you don't like it any more is growth, which means not liking it is a higher state than liking it.
Thus people who haven't "grown out of" something you have are egenerates and you're basically Hitler.
you ever notice these threads are always by dudes who listen to nothing but prog and jazz
>>63159541
OK moot.

>"growing out of it" implies that the reason you don't like it any more is growth, which means not liking it is a higher state than liking it.
I don't agree with this at all. You can grow out of something that other people can grow into. Growing in and out of things is just something that happens naturally to humans and doesn't have any correlation to one subjective preference being superior to another.

Word, anon. It's cute how defensive metal fans get over something so trivial as others moving on from their precious genre.

What did he mean by this?
When I realized it's anti intellectualism was rotting my brain and stopping me from achieving my full potential I quickly dropped metal and rock music. Previously I had listened to many kinds and had convinced myself that it was new and amazing but now I see that no matter what rock micro genre it is it's just some anti intellectuals twanging on their twang box. Albini was one of the key influences in helping me realize just how worthless a genre rock is because he gets so much praise despite being a worthless hack. GG Allin and punk music in general helped as well. The praise of stupidity was the key aspects of the genre and I just couldn't listen.
I've tried to see if growing out of rock music was a phase but when I go back to it I can't help but yawn and change the music to something better.
Rock music is dead to me and I realize that it should have never been alive.

Metal is shitty, but there is some decent rock out there.
Nobody likes GG Allin. People are fascinated in him in the same way people are fascinated with Charlie Manson.
