metallica's only bad album is death magnetic. they're actually a perfect match for reed, since both have made careers out of pushing their sound into new territory, often with the result of alienating their fans. this explains why lulu is so fucking good.

Yes, i agree lulu is something new. But it didnt sound pleasant to me.
Death magnetic is slightly better than saint anger. But both albuns have flaws:
St anger has snare drums, which sounds like tin cans and death magnetic is low quality due to its loudness.
But at least is somewhat metallica-ish.
Albeit far from the golden days.
