It's just an extremely well-produced rock album, with it's most experimental aspects infused into the atmospherics. The songs are extremely well-written pop songs, helped by Gilmour's blues playing. Roger's lyrics are on point, and Rick Wright steals the show with his keyboards. I'm not saying it's even a 10/10, it's just really well put together as an album.

Kid A is still better than ITCOTCK, it just doesn't mantain the energy after 21st century schizoid man, or maybe up until the theme song, but the middle is clearly weaker.
Still, there are a lot of better albums than those 5. And Banana should be over PF.
