Thread for those who've advanced past /mu/core, p4k BNM and the same old shit posted here everyday and past caring about FotM music of Kanye, Kendrick, Grimes and other normie pop.
For those who've...
a) been listening to music seriously for 5+ years
b) have musical training and regularly perform music
Don't be offended, this is not meant to be pretentious, its just some of us have more developed tastes. No /mu/core, BNM, Fantanocore or chart music allowed. Do not troll or derail the thread with off-topic discussion. This is not an avant-teen general, its for the other 80% of music /mu/ never mentions.
What music have you been enjoying lately?

There's a lot of mediocre shoegaze acts that brands themself as indie. Makthaverskan is probably the only good one out of that group
I do believe there's some good hardcore though but I don't know enough about the genre to talk about it

I've been getting into minimal synth lately but I haven't found myself enjoying too much modern stuff in the style.

Can anyone recommend me composers like Feldman outside of the NY school? Or better yet anyone know any new composers who've expanded on his style in a similar fashion?

bought the tigran hamasyan 'luys i luso' instead which is enjoyable. i tend to prefer ecm new series releases to their standard stuff but this i really liked

The rest of the world decays into idiocracy while the ones who are taught and trained become enlightened while being looked upon as though they are autists.

It is amazing probably her best work. The composition is lush and atmospheric and the vocal exercises are fresh despite this being Meredith Monk's main focus in her albums. I would also recommend Book of Days.
