Not even an excuse. The EP isn't even a mess. It flows nicely. It sticks with a certain type of style. TLOP is just an absolute fucking mess. You have one or two solid hip hop sounding songs, the rest are just a abomination with no direction on where the album is going.

How is having "one or two solid hip hop sounding songs" a detriment? Kanye works in a variety of genres, he's not marginalized like Kenny is. On TLOP you get elements of R&B, pop, ambient, trap, lounge, gospel, etc. UU attempts to incorporate jazz and funk into the context of a hip hop beat, but in the process dilutes the sounds that make those genres great.

That's just your taste. You obviously prefer more something like the shit that was on Yeezus. I prefer the kind of hip hop/funk/jazz that's in TPAB.

I can't see how they "dilute" the sound of those genres because some of them sound like they would've been on TPAB but didn't make the cut.
Also bear in mind that there have been people on this board that have re-arranged TLOP just so it flows smoothly. That's how messy it was.
