Pulp, Suede and the Manics (although they really only released arguably two "britpop" albums) were pretty much the best ones. I'd say Suede was a better band overall than Pulp, but Pulp had higher peaks than Suede. The britpop's three masterpieces are imho Everything Must Go, Different Class and Dog Man Star (Suede s/t is more glam rock than anything else). Blur, Oasis, and the rest weren't even close to these three. Super Furry Animals were also fucking amazing though.

James was more madchester than britpop mate
>>
Doves were the best Post-Britpop band followed by Starsailor tbqh.

The Kingdom Of Rust is a great album

I'd rather Jeremy Kyle run the country

Be thankful you're not disabled or mentally ill, you'd probably be dead by now.

Whoa, hold the fuck on m8y, I never said Cameron was better.

Is Placebo considered britpop?
>>
>>63026025
I don't think so, not ''poppy'' enough.

Night Thoughts was really good. Better than you'd expect them to be at this late stage. It could've been released at any point before Head Music and it would be remembered just as fondly as their first three albums.

>>63025586
switch blur and oasis and it's right

>>63025645
Suede have more huge pop tunes, but Pulp were the most clever. I'd rate either at the top.

Bowie should've hooked up with Suede instead of Placebo. Bowie should've been Suede instead of what he was in the 90s...
>>
>>63026025
I'd say they're more alternative rock with some slight emo/pop-punk influences. At least in their early albums.

>Bowie should've been Suede instead of what he was in the 90s...
Couldn't disagree more. 1. Outside is one of his best albums and one of the greatest albums to come of the whole late 90's industrial rock boom. Earthling is also damn good.

The Verve

Suede because Dog Man Star.

Northern Soul was brilliant. The perfect balance between their shoegaze days and their more britpop late stuff. Still, they were a better shoegaze band than a britpop band, by miles. A Storm In Heaven is a mastepriece.

A Northern Soul Is my favourite album theirs its great, Brain Storm Interlude its one of my faves off the album.

Doves - The Kingdom Of Rust, It was the latest album they recorded back in 2009 and my personal favourite.

i'm american but i want to be british
i listen to osasis, say "lad" and date a horse. Am i the good path?
>>
A tossup between Pulp and Suede. Pulp had the swagger (moreso than those cuntbag Gallaghers) and Suede had (and still has) the art pop thing going on a la David Bowie.
>>
I like Blur, Oasis and I absolutely adore Suede, but I tried to listen to Pulp a hundred times and it doesn't work at all for me. Common People has to be one of the most overrated songs of all time.

thanks m8! really enjoying these!
