he was all about good tunes. If a piece doesn't have a good tune and some very excellently written modulations and a tight form, I'm sure he would think it as "lower music", instantly imitate it at a party to impress a group of modern people, then compose something far superior in a similar style.
Composers who have a very high level of skill and a large ego (like Mozart) tend to be dismissive of everything that wasn't written by them, even music by the "old masters" like Bach or Josquin. Mozart would say "nice idea" and then create something of much higher quality while he was waiting for his wife to fetch the water from downstairs

Composers tend to be condescending assholes about music. Its part of their nature, and the main reason they write music instead of just listening to it. They think (or know) they can write better, so they see all music as "nice ideas" but only their own music as "masterpieces"
