Well I was reading an article not so long ago about how Kanye should be broke by now, citing his wedding, several $1-2M parties, houses, cars, etc. A lot of the clothes he wears are runway pieces owned by private collectors, from whom he rents for upwards of $10K+ per day.
My guess is his debt comes from banks funding his private business ventures. He's expressed his frustration over not being able to find investors, so if he had any we'd probably know about it. He probably blows a lot of money on staff, factories, fabrics, etc. as well as his own lavish lifestyle. No doubt in the coming years he'll be in hot water for misappropriation of corporate funds, maybe even tax evasion.
