You could honestly skip X∞Multiplies and just listen to 'Nice Age' on Youtube if you want to. Probably my least favorite album of theirs, the rest is solid.

For real though. Outside of maybe 5 indie bands (at the most) there's next to nothing worth listening to coming out from Japan. They peaked in the first half of the 2000s. L'Arc~en~Ciel's SMILE was the last mainstream Japanese album worth checking out, and after that all we've had is indie 90s shoegaze aping.

It seems like Satou's been taking over the songwriting process a bit more and she's always seemed to want to be more pop-oriented than not
That being said I'd love a return to form from them, since I can't help but feel this shift to a poppier sound might have been spurred on by pressures of making a major label debut in addition to the band becoming Satou and Co.
Who knows, My dead girlfriend's last album was pretty solid and oeil are still around somewhere so if KT fall through there's always more bands to fall back on
