The album is all over the place. It feels more like a collection of singles and random ideas that Kanye had and made an album out of. It lacks a clear direction. It's handful of decent singles means that it isn't complete trash, but it's not that great. It's really more forgettable than anything.

People are complaining about the lyrics, but through wolves, they are pretty cool. Its like, they are all just vignettes that add up to a picture of him bring at a crossroads of being a bad boy and a family man.
Take father stretch my hands. Its lyrics are so fractured and only come together when you think about it.
He starts out by cheating, then feels guilty, and has a conflict between stunting how he has broads in Atlanta and how he wants to be Better than his father was. He looks towards God for the answer.
His lyrics are completely impressionistic on here. Sure there isn't a lot of storytelling directly but it certainly seems like its still pushing forward this idea. Through the entire stretch until wolves.

This, I guess he was hoping to get lucky by throwing all the songs together in a cluster fuck and pretending to be picasso. He should have just stuck to his old track list and called it "So help me God". Put all the hyped egotistic songs at the front, the religious ones at the back and bam, coherent album.
I still refuse to believe that anything after Wolves isn't Bonus Track. That's where the album ends for me. I expect that when the album is finally released physically, the last 5 tracks will be labeled as bonus tracks. The songs (although they aren't bad) don't fit, he just decided to put on everything he's been doing lately on there as a bonus. Like come on a fucking Nike diss track? The album ends at Wolves, y'all will see.

6.5/10. It's more like a compilation album to me. Songs don't go well together, it's just bunch of different singles. Poor production. Yeezus was better as an album, like, it's more enjoyable to listen to Yeezus from start to finish. TLOP is like an album that is made to be listened not in its order.
