So, what music player are you using?
Foobar with patrician settings.
spotify and things i dont get on spotify i listen to on itunes
>>62579726
>>62579774
If you use Spotify, iTunes or anything else you're actually subhuman. Like, legit below the rest of the human race.
>>62579774
don't tell me that's not patrician as shit, you probably use iTunes and are just jealous I don't have an ugly looking grid of album covers
>>62579907
How to emulate your aesthetic?
Tell me senpai, how do you do that shit?
As a functioning member of society I use Spotify.
On Loonix I use Clementine.
On Windows MusicBee.
>>62580004
If you're a functioning member of society what are you doing here?
>not using VLC
Based Swinsian
>>62579849
So, like 90% of civilized people aren't human?
cli player autist race coming through
close to default foobar
>>62580108
Not to fedora, but have you seen "civilized people" specially in America?
>>62579961
For starters here's the skin I use: http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=7368.0
Other than that, display album artwork at full size, on Views Configuration select 'fit artwork to the size of the panel' and 'overlay fields inside the artwork' and then just mess around with the sidebar menu 'til you get your desired result.
>>62580165
Mostly there, but I can't seem to find Views Config??
>listening to music on anything other than your phone
What's the point? Don't you want to enjoy music while out of the house every now and then? Why limit yourself to the confines of your room?
That's right
foobar but not ugly
>>62581455
how do u do this
>>62581133
Right click the thing in pic related and select 'customize panel settings'
>>62581623
Thanks!
>>62581623

>>62581544
https://www.reddit.com/r/foobar2000/comments/3fmwcz/my_foobar_setup_skin_in_comments/
i had to do a bit of customizing to get it exactly how i wanted it though. took a while to figure out. its amazing how customizable foobar is though, you can change almost anything that's being shown
>>62581623
Did the overlay aswell, thanks senpai
Mpd
>>62579849
I've used iTunes for a good while, how do I break the cycle?
>>62581793
thx
cmus
Changing any settings means you value the look of music, over the actual music itself.
spotify, tidal and cmus
>>62579849
>le special snowflake faec
Just use iTunes you fucking nerds
>>62582532
cmus on linux
foobar on windows
Super old itunes on Mac
Neutron on android
tidal on all platforms
>>62579676
you like really fucking uninteresting music
>>62582500
It's a very simple matter. Do you enjoy being subhuman?
>>62579726
>>62579849
I just don't get into dark screens. Hurts my eyes too much. I prefer a variety of color.
>>62582591
lost me at tidal, that shit is just thrown together
>>62579849
itunes on mac is great though, and looks about 500 times better than whatever your screenshot is
>>62581922
>>62581455
>>62580117
>>62579907
Cool guys
Much better with headphones than through speakers imo
>>62582400
That's stupid. I never make playlists and I know where I sort all my music so there's no use for the location tab in the info window.
If you use something like iTunes you problably value album art over simplicity and overall usefulness. But everything you said is still wrong and stupid.
Your music bee looks better than mine. Also why the hell is there an album rating option if I can't even see what the albums are rated as?
>>62582924
320?
>>62581793
>>62582877
Yes, plastic & gloss, great design. Apple really does appeal to retarded people, wow.
I've seen images of iTunes. It's a clusterfuck. .The player is as white and stupid as it's userbase.
You're literally saying that a playlist/album art/visualization somehow looks worse than that abortion of design. Can you see well?
Is there literally a single thing iTunes does that you can't make foobar do?
Spotify
no bully though pls
>>62581922
y u show off
>>62582833
Tidal sucks big, i know. Too lazy to cancel my subscription though because it still kind of works
Mainly using cmus anyways, or neutron on my phone with external dac
swinsian master race
Musicbee is like the perfect compromise between itunes and foobar
>>62579676
>>62583864
nice bitrate
>>62583864
>259kbps fml
>>62583660
How did you set up the sub-librarys or whatever for the years? Or are those just playlists?
>>62581455
This is the first foobar I've seen that I've really liked. Nice and sleek.
>>62584014
Auto-playlists, filtered by year
I've had this same layout for almost 4 years.
>>62584235
>only has two charles mingus albums
step it up, dude
>>62580080
Holy shit, hello there, senpai!
For some reason I've never been able to get artwork to appear near the top. How'd you do it?
>>62582641
>half star ratings
oh my god finally someone else who does this shit. i cant believe most settle with just a 5 star scale. interesting that musicbee can do it, also.
Daily reminder that Musicbee is the best player around
Any other answer is seriously wrong
>Manage different libraries
>Any portable device support without >plugins
>Lyrics from every good lyric website (genius, azlyrics etc.)
>Choose album art from last.fm google itunes, fanart etc.
>Edit album tags from Discogs, Musicbrainz, FreeDB, etc.
>Last.fm features (scrobbler, import/export loved tracks, playcount, etc)
>Looks good / Artwork view (and mini and compact view)
>>62581931
You're using Artwork + details right? how do I hide the sides
>>62584936
But can I put music be in a very simple and small window off to the side while I browse /mu/? I want to switch to music bee, but I love my foobar2000 setup so much.
>not using AIMP
explain yourselves
>>62585103
got ya
spotify and cmus.
Have tried to use tomahawk but it makes really illogical choices about where to pull music.
If you're on Android you should check out Phonograph, cos I know everyone here is a fan of pretty colors.
>>62585563
is this better than shuttle+?
>>62583220
is there literally a single better alternative for mac users that you can suggest?
>>62586217
>Mac users
Ugh
Suicide, maybe
>>62586217
I use Swinsian. Pretty rare to see it ever posted on here but another anon posted a pic earlier and I was almost shocked.
Anyway, here: >>62584704 and >>62580080
>>62586411
:') epic. thanks for the help.
>>62586549
thanks! will definitely check out. I've been looking for an alternative but hadn't heard about Swinsian
mpd+ncmpcpp
what else would i use
>>62581922
this looks really nice, love being able to see all the covers w/o having the tracklists expanded for everything. Never used that player, is this difficult to do (obviously you have a much larger monitor than mine)
>>62579676
what settings/ addons do you use?
>>62587102
musicbee is easy to use. everything is in the setting just play around
>>62579907
look, 25 terrible albums in one picture
>>62585861
they are similar, I prefer phonograph’s layout/think it’s slicker.
Using AIVA currently, used to have something similar to >>62583660
Used to use foobar but it had one too many whoopsies and I got fed up with it. Now I use MusicBee, so much easier to use.
Also got an external HD to have all my music on, it plays wonderfully with MusicBee.
>>62583864
>Tool
kys desu senpai baka
WMP like an absolute faggot
>>62579676
Clementine on Linux, Musicbee on windows.
Musicbee shits all over every other music player ever.
plz tell me y i shouldnt use fucking itunes instead of all that other hipster crap?
>>62587216
>>62581922
How can I make it so clicking an album will display it in the right panel? It must be possible
Used to use Winamp until recently, liking Foobar so far.
The GOAT foobar skin
i've been rolling with musicbee for a while
>>62588770
switch to musicbee before you get used to foobar.
Foobar is deprecated, except you want a REALLY lightweight player, considering hardware requirements. If you have a 15 year old computer for example.
>>62588943
also, fuck yeah, morbid saint!
LOCK UP YOUR CHILDREN!!!!11!!
Anyone here know how to set Musicbee up so that the tracklist doesn't pop out from under the album like in >>62582879
>>62589104
spectrum of death is the best metal album ever, i love it so much.
>>62589255
click the grid button, unchecking the "show tracks..." will stop it from expanding the albums
>>62589529
Thanks familia
the foob
vlc
>>62589849
I'm in love with your right sidebar.
>>62590198
So much so that I definitely copied it.
p satisfied with it now
Relistening to this album because I feel a need to listen to some stoner rap
idk this isnt even that chill theres only like 4 songs that are chill
