No popular album in recent memory is as beautiful and refined yet unfinished and rugged. The crying chants for God in the first song are not cries for God, but for mankind. It is West's final descent into madness as he bitterly attempts to challenge the views the world has on life itself, the concept of God, and the implication it carries in a post-Anglican society. The world, the music journalism industry, and the common pleb will view it as an incoherent mess simply because they cannot comprehend the anachronistic complexity of an album released before it's time. Before, West has channeled his creativity into a farce which would allow lesser mortals to understand his work in a way that could allow said lessers to enjoy the art while easing their minds to reach the ultimate goal of expressing his raw, unbridled creative genius. this album may feel a little "disjointed" but thats on purpose because ye is dividing his time now between his family (gospel songs like ultralight beam, real friends and 30 hours) and being a rap artist (waves, famous), mirrored by the album art, which shows the disparity between kanye's pop life (star's ass) and family life (family photo). Kanye has humor back in check for the first time since Dark Fantasy, spouting lines such as "my ex says i gave her the best years of her life, i saw a recent picture of her, i guess she was right" and "you stole my laptop you dirty motherfucker". There are yeezus tracks (freestyle 4), 808 tracks (FML), College Dropout Tracks (I love kanye) and total pop hits (waves). The album is varied and it will turn people off because of it.
