If this was 2012 Fantano and his core fanbase was still /mu/, he would probably a more honest opinion, which I would guess would be around 6. But it's fairly obvious if you compare his old videos with his newer ones, that he's more interested in gimmicks and controversy and whatever gets the typical underage YouTube audience to click subscribe. some good tracks and as usual with a kanye album, it's a bit of a mixed bag but the production is ON POINT:
- FML
- Father Stretch My Hands
- No More Parties in LA
- Wolves
- Waves
overall well produced but unfinished and inconsistent; also too many tracks that were already released or we've heard of before.
not the kind of mature well rounded album we have come to expect and that the industry standard is at right now (the bar is set pretty high by kendrick)
however, liked the more experimental stuff like the (acapella in I Love Kanye is fun and fresh) and the changes to the formula (FML). but a lot of the tracks contain 1 verse and a hook, and then it's like kanye's attention span is lost and he moves on without finishing a thought, much like the persona kanye has developed lately, very sporadic and incomprehensible.
in conclusion, feeling a strong 6 to a light 7. what did you think? what should i review next? let me know in the comments.
