I seriously hope you guys don't do this

Would HCTI be too spooky to listen to on LSD? Should I just smoke weed to it instead?
>>62022026
That isn't Centipede Hz...
>>62022106
hey sam, hows the new teen suicide album coming along?
>>62022475
Not him, but I'm pretty sure "all of these guys discog" includes CHz
>>62022457
Yes. I've never listened to HCTI while on acid, but it is an absolutely breathtaking experience while smoking the devil's lettuce. Hey Light is just incredibly fun and Two Sails on a Sound is fucking transcendental
>>62022415
If you're going to listen to pop music on acid at least listen to good pop music

>>62022457
I listened to this on an acid-tier weed high while in a forest and it wasn't how I expected it at all. It sounded really dense and artificial, like a stream of metal and concrete whooshing past me at great speed.
Just listen to something decent for once, no need to make cult out of it or you will fuck yourself up.
>>62022750
I get so many feels from this album, it would destroy me on acid.
>>62023654
fuck off
Acid Bath Pagan Terrorism Tactics is the best acid album. Also the Melody's Echo Chamber album is an amazing trip if you first discover it while on shrooms.
This is the most weed friendly thing I did http://itknows.bandcamp.com/track/before-kill
Everything else I do causes killing to happen
>>62023654
i would love to hear this on acid but i feel like certain songs might give me a negative trip
>>62023654
Get out fuckboi.
This shit. Dankest.
>>62022968
im kinda in a wierd place where im sick of their stuff but still know alot of its good. still love a couple of tobaccos solo things

Acid: The Album
Anyone who disagrees hasn't heard the whole thing. Ending to Won't Yu Tu Crie is trippy as fouck! And D.I. Lated ugh dont even get me started honestly haters go ahead and smoke a joint to this album and melt into insanity. Thank you for posting this.
>>62021968
Come with me, bring some incense
>>62024686
Kek I agree but it isnt that rare of a thing to see posted here. The ending does get trippy Jonathan is dope

I heard a Tame Impala song for the first time the other day. It was really disappointing, sorry OP, but they suck.
>>62025319
Because I'm sure every song produced by any band is a 10/10 masterpiece

Well, after hearing them compared to Pink Floyd (who literally don't have a bad song) several times, yes, it was quite a let down. It struck me as just being more generic, digital age, unartistic crap.
Duuuuuude, I just got the radest idea
No, like, seriously, shut up brah!
>>62025475
look up apocalypse dreams its their best song it gave me a flashback once. pink floyd sucks btw. imo.
>>62025479
This is one of my all time favorite albums.
>>62025475
Pink Floyd is good, but c'mon now. They have plenty of bad songs
>>62025475
>Pink Floyd (who literally don't have a bad song)

>>62025522
>TO BEAT TO A PULP ON A SATURDAY NIIIIGHT OOOOOOOOOOOOHH BBBAAAAAABBY
Fucking love that, when the guitar comes in, Jesus fucking Christ man. The other example shouldn't even count as Pink Floyd, nothing without Waters is really Pink Floyd.
>>62025606
Yeah Don't Leave Me Now may have been a bad example on my part seeing how much I like the outro.
The rest is just mediocre though
I've never done acid, but if it's at all like weed then anything will do right?
>>62021914
Why would you waste precious acid for such a mediocre pop album?
If I was on acid I'd listen to
Flying Teapot - Gong
Warrior on the Edge of Time - Hawkwind
GravityX - Truckfighters
Forever Changes - Love
Anything by Earthless
>>62025832
acid is pretty cheap, honestly
I just picked up 2 tabs for $10 from my guy. And yes, it's real lsd
>>62022339
>>62025832
Why do you guys hate Tame Impala so much? I never understood this meme. Everyone loved them until Currents happened, then everyone pretended that they always sucked.
>>62025914
mob mentality. It started out that people were let down by currents, then it snowballed until people actually hated the album, then the band, all because thats what everyone else is doing.
>>62025914
I usually reply to these kinds of posts with
>/mu/ is just one person
but I'm actually kind of curious too. Because the hate seems more vocal than ever before since Currents dropped. Of course people were always mixed with them but It feels rare to see some good ol' Tame Impala dick ricking these days
>>62025914
Otherfag here, but I very rarely hate music, I just find them to be nothing special.

dark side of the moon is a cliche but also a goat classic for acid
>>62022060
The Doors - The End is for more serious drugs, like DMT
The Zombies goes great with acid tho
>The Beatles + acid
>The Doors + acid
>Tame Impala + acid

Only problem is that its really short

Especially the title track

>mfw that death rattle
>>62026604
Yeah what would possess someone to listen to psychedelic music – which is specifically made to musically recreate the experience of being on psychedelics and thereby enhance the music listening experience while the listener is on psychedelics – while on psychedelics?
It's just a fucking dumb meme like everything else that displeases me.
I listened Sgt Pepper's on acid and it was literally heaven. I want to cry just remembering it.
>>62025914
Mainly it's because they make insipid pop music drenched in reverb and "trippy" effects in a lazy, transparent attempt to appeal to some sort of fringe subculture.
>>62026785
> Probably doesn't know half of the bands and albums people mentioned
> Calls them predictable to show off his meme album
>>62022888
Really overrated
Lost and Safe is their truly best album
>>62025218
What are you implying?
>>62027047
Lost and Safe is their worst album, but it's still pretty good. The Lemon of Pink is a masterpiece.
>>62027095
Weed and acid are wildly different, and to say you got so stoned that it was like tripping on acid, that's just a foolish thing to say
>>62026936
Peace out dad. Get your garbage music away
>>62027134
Sure, bud. Even their first is better than Lemon of Pink. You keep doing you though.
>>62027168
I'm guessing you've never experimented with high-dose edibles or dabs. Weed can absolutely approach the level of an acid trip. In many ways it can be even more intense. Saying they're "wildly different" doesn't really mean anything because every individual experience on each of these drugs is wildly different anyway. The only real difference is you won't get as intense visuals with weed as you will with acid.
>>62027240
Yeah, their first is really great too but I find it lacks the cohesiveness of TLoP and sounds a lot more organic, which obviously isn't a problem but I really appreciate the perfect balance the latter strikes between organic and electronic sounds, to the point where they actually become pretty hard to distinguish at times.
You sound like a huge faggot btw.
Seriously
>>62027320
Personally I've experimented with many types of marijuana consumption, and a very close friend of mine had a bad trip that completely ruined weed for him when he ate too many edibles on a camping trip. He thought he was going to die, and he crawled into a bush and called his parents to tell them goodbye and we sat with him for four hours just talking and trying to calm him down. So I absolutely know how intense a THC high can be
Yes, you are right that drugs affect each of us differently, and in my personal experience I am able to appreciate music with much greater clarity while tripping on acid than with intense doses of THC, and I find most of my friends feel the same way as I
I didn't really like this until I listened to it on shrooms
>>62027528
This is an alcohol album
Listen to it drunk, it's amazing
>>62027573
I had a bad trip on shrooms. It sucked, but I got extremely intense visuals. I couldn't even imagine being able to focus long enough to sit down and listen to a whole album while being shroomed out of my mind
choirs of the eye
this album is truly an experience when you listen under the influence of ANY drug
it's beautiful and terrifying and awesome
most krautrock is amazing for psychedelics
Surprised this hasnt been posted yet
>>62028027
This was posted but mods deleted them..
You're the third person posting this meme, congratz!
>>62028129
>mods deleted them.
BASED
>>62027707
What I did was lay in bed, play the album through headphones, and then browse Twitter or 4chan while I was listening. Shrooms make me unable to sit still, so there was lots of aspergers going on; very frequent pausing due to my attention span. Anytime I heard a sweet guitar riff I closed my eyes and felt euphoric, then resumed browsing after a few seconds.
Acid & shrooms alone give me sensory overload. Combine that with music and it's kind of insane.
>>62028129
Dude wtf why are mods deleting this? It would be so killer tripping it isnt like its spammed anymore i hardly see it posted now

>>62028238
I've been smoking a lot of weed lately, and i was at a 9 the other day listening to neu and it was so crazy and awesome that i was actually overwhelmed and felt terrified
>>62028320
I'm high right now! That's probably why i'm digging it so much

Listening to springtime again on shrooms helped me that remember life could be beautiful.

>>62028456
memes aside i believe this anon, i imagine it would be quite an emotional experience
>>62026604
I smelt kerosene while tripping to drukqs. have any other anons ever experienced synesthesia when they tripped.
>>62026604
come on you cunt lets have some aphex acid
but forreal now im high as fuck and listening to neu! and am definitely gonna listen to SAW85-92 afterwards
>>62027571
Yeah I've eaten edibles a few time, but one day I did them and I thought I broke reality, lost all my friend and fell into a depression for about a month. The next morning I went out for a calm row on the lake with my mom and it felt like a pivotal moment in my life.
>>62028027
swim is getting some tabs this weekend and plans on listening to this among a few other albums
>pic related included gonna be a fun trip

Bingo, its not bad but its just pop dressed up as psych and thats left a bad taste in my mouth ever since i heard innerspeaker or w/e
>>62025495
I'm on your side in terms of Tame Impala but if you like them and dislike Pink Floyd you ought to re-evaluate where you're at.

weird choice. is this rec from personal experience?
I dare you
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAZKo_cw7SI
>>62031472
I don't know man, it somehow reminds me of melodies that I heard in my head and places and spaces that left fond memories back in my childhood days, obviously it's my experience, but I feel like there's more to it than my personal impressions.
>>62031615
that makes sense. i've never bothered with any of his post-prison stuff but this is at the very least an interesting listen so far
>>62027002
>>62029300
I don't get why people keep calling it a "dress up". KP himself said he always recognized his music as "pop" and would be caught off-guard when people called it otherwise. He's been saying it since Innerspeaker days I believe, or at least since Lonerism.
