I'm gonna cast a pretty wide net here. I know there is a thread for this, but i never seem to have much luck with just posting charts of albums I like.

So here it goes; a chart with specific things i like in music, as you can see it covers a lot of genres so if you have an album you think would fit the bill, please post, I'm dying for new music and the /mu/ recommended charts are getting me nowhere.

Thanks in advance /mu/

>dense layered electronica
Try Stockhausen. Pic related will establish two of his most famous works to you. It's a bit more inaccessible than plunderphonics but fits the bill.
>saccharine pop
Françoise Hardy - Françoise Hardy (The "Yeh-Yeh" Girl from Paris!). This fits your 60s pop bill too. If you like it, listen to other Yé-yé like France Gall and April March (more modern but similar sound).
>complex, but accessible prog
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso - Io sono nato libero
>glitchy chopped electronica (stop using the word electronica)
Underrated release from last year; Félicia Atkinson - A Readymade Ceremony.
>violins
Franz Schubert's fifteenth string quartet.

Have fun.

>Pop
Japanese (KPP, school food punishment, Fantastic Plastic Machine)
Central/South American (Milton Nascimento, Yma Sumac)
Experimental/avant-garde (Doopees, Szygys, Fiery Furnaces)
Cutesy/twee (Rilo Kiley, Mirah, The Motifs)
50s/60s influence/are from the 50s/60s (The Ronettes, Francoise Hardy, Scott Walker, Stereolab)

Hip hop
Abstract/experimental (most Anticon stuff involving Why? and Doseone, Coin Locker Kid, Busdriver)
Unique voices (many of the ones I listed abstract/experimental, milo, Gravediggaz)

Ambient
Simple classical-type stuff (A Winged Victory for the Sullen, Erik Satie, Nils Frahm)
More house-y stuff (Porter Ricks, Andy Stott, Deepchord Presents Echospace)
drone/sample-based (Yoran, Emeralds)

Folk
Poppy melodies (Momus, Sufjan Stevens, Jim O'Rourke)
Sad boys (Nick Drake, Dave Bixby, Roy Harper)
Freakier stuff (Joanna Newsom, Tim Buckley, Meme)
Ambient (Grouper, Eddie Marcon, Ichiko Aoba)

Rock
Angular synths (The Dismemberment Plan, This Heat, James Chance)
Sort of generic indie rock (Modest Mouse, Built to Spill)
Prog (low priority) (Soft Machine, King Crimson, Yes, Genesis)

Electronic
House (James Holden, Sasha and John Digweed, Boo Williams, Floating Points)
Techno (Pelon, Michael Mayer, The Orb)

I also like really progressive song structures and have been getting into early synth music lately (exotica, space age pop, moog)

Thanks!

Where would you classify my music?
I have so many songs to post and I have thousands yet to have written.

I want a serious opinion because I want to tailor my details to my fans. Or possible fans. :)
