T b q f f a m This may be the best Bowie album. It's fucking fresh. Why doesn't this get talked bout like Low or Heroes?
>>
because it's not le experimental
>>
>>61977716
I'm listening to it right now and I can't say any of his albums move me the way this one does. Every song is great.
>>
it's a wonderful album but can we stop pretending it's underrated

everyone fucking loves it
>>
Its hands down the best. Its a level of pop that The Beatles could only ever dream of achieving.
>>
oh boy, descending bass lines and cabaret piano

>download Hunky Dory on torrent site
>labeled with Young Thug as a featured artist on Life on Mars
wtf
>>
>>61978130
Is this the rare DJ Aaron Ellis mix?
>>
The Belway Brothers, Eight Line Poem, and Fill Your Heart are all weak and I skip each of them every time

Changes, Life on Mars, and Queen Bitch are all undeniable classics and essential Bowie

Pretty Things, Song For Bob Dylan, and Quicksand are interesting and creative tracks that I look forward to hearing on each listen

Kooks and Andy Warhol are decent but nothing to write home about
>>
>>61978138
oddly its just regular life on mars
>>
>>61978166
>skipping Fill Your Heart

If I was sat across from you in a room, we'd be at each other's necks within 5 minutes.
>>
>bowie

nigga dead no way i listen
>>
>Why doesn't this get talked bout like Low or Heroes?

Because when it came out it sold something like 5000 copies and only became popular once ziggy came out, so its always been under appreciated

Come at me you little girly bitch. I'm 6'3 and I have to flush my toilet twice after every shit because my turds are so thick and nasty. You couldn't fucking handle me or my objectively correct opinions about Hunky Dory so make like a fuckface and fuck off
>>
>>61978325
I never said I'd win.
>>
>>61977667
>Why doesn't this get talked bout like Low or Heroes?
I honestly don't get the hype around Low. Just an excuse for Bowie to use shitty samples and prepare for Heroes. Hunky Dory is some catchy artpop though.
>>
>>61978255

Me next. The whole album is solid.
>>
>>61978166
Kooks is a bit boring (not bad though) yeah but Fill Your Heart isn't that bad.

Who gives a shit about ratings. Just enjoy the album. Arbitrary rating systems don't matter.
>>
>>61978975
>>61978975
That's what kind of bugs me about /mu/. It might be better to hold off on rating things all the time. There's so much to a piece of art like this, it can't be contained to a rating.
>>
>>61978947
>>61978968
But guys, Changes is the best pop song ever written
>>
>>61978166
Just replace Fill Your Heart with non-album track Bombers, which was originally supposed to be there in its place.
>>
>>61977667
not edgy enough for /mu/ sperglords clique.

>Why doesn't this get talked bout like Low or Heroes?
But it does. It's considered to be one of his very best, right up there with Low, Station to Station and Heroes. Not Ziggy though.
Hunky Dory is my favorite Bowie album, followed by Ziggy, followed by Low and I think they're all damn near flawless albums
>>61979883
No way is The Bewlay Brothers the worst song on Hunky Dory. No way Song for Bob Dylan is the best song on Hunky Dory. Unique opinion, but I can't say I agree with it at all.

I think his sound here was much more original and enjoyable than ziggy.

Ziggy is still fantastic.

It's a popular album, it's not anything underrated. Low and Heroes gets discussed here more because it's experimental and appeals to indie fans more.
>>
>>61977667
Because it's so great it doesn't even need to be discussed. There's nothing more to say about it.
