Street Hassle is pretty great, but not one my favourite's of Lou Reed. I understand your decision, but I think other albums show better what Lou is capable of (e.g. Ecstacy, Magic & Loss, Berlin), excluding the shitty songs on the first two albums - true Street Hassle doesn't have shitty songs. I think they're better than the original, and I think the album is even better than Rock 'n' Roll Animal (hard to believe, I know, but it's true). Lou Reed live is something else, except in Italy of course (and Animal Serenade, apart from some wonderful songs), and Take No Prisoners was during his Street Hassle tour. You'll like it, amazing performance, incredible band, and the best Berlin, Coney Island Baby, I Wanna Be Black and Leave me Alone is on it. Lou at his best.
Also, seeing you're such a big fan of Street Hassle, what do you think of Rock & Roll Heart? Not the same, but I am curious.
