I love Hummer and Rocket so much. Greatest one-two punch on an SP album by far.
OP should listen to the band Hum if he hasn't already. Very Siamese Dream/Gish type of stuff:

Best track on Gish?

Snail
dat Jimmy C

The last three minutes or so on that song are so oddly peaceful.
I still think this is the best Gish song because Jimmy is such a force of nature on it and the way Billy's voice drones makes me feel so warm and nostalgic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVfWx9282y0

If I had to choose one song from Smashing Pumpkins, it'll have to be Hummer too. I'm like the biggest SP fan so I damn near heard it all but something about that damn solo at the end, the way it carries you back down onto Earth after the first part ascends you into the air. Then Rocket, then Disar---I Swear this is my favorite album of all time. The drums on Geek USA make you wanna fu k something up

Have you listened to Hum?

I'm not a big fan of Geek USA, it always felt a little childish and petulant in a bad way. Should have been replaced by Pissant honestly. Soma and Mayonaise are fucking great though.

Check out Catherine, they shared the same practice space with the Pumpkins and used Big Muff pedals (that's where Billy got the idea).
Check out the solo at 2:50 and tell me that it doesn't sound like Smashing Pumpkins.

And here's Catherine's first single (produced by Billy Corgan), it's more Shoegazey than the rest.
