Honestly they're not that bad. I actually quite liked Mylo Xyloto, sure there were some bad songs (ugh princess of china...) but there were some great ones too (a hopeful transmission -> don't let it break your heart). Paradise is great too despite being overplayed.
Ghost stories is wholly underrated. It's nice, pretty music, not great, but definitely not bad. Its nice.
the newest album, im not a fan of. The tracks arent really memorable, I only really like adventure of a lifetime.

Ehh. It's a solid tie between Parachutes, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, and X&Y. They're all great. After those, it all went downhill with selling out/mainstream pop sounding albums. Viva La Vida Or Death was OK.

Wrong. Viva La Vida was when Coldplay was evolving into the new pop/mainstream sound which they are now. There are really only 2 good songs on it, Viva La Vida and Strawberry Swing. X&Y & Parachutes were their best.

Ehh. I feel In Rainbows was too alternative for my taste. The best track on that album was Reckoner tbqh, senpai. I think Kid A is their best album. Everything flows, it's unique, everything comes into its own in such a remarkable way. Sorry, familia.
In Rainbows is fourth on my list after TKOL and OKC.

Dead Cities is remarkable too, it's really a tie between Dead Cities and Digital Shades for Number two. Saturdays = Youth has a more alternative sound whilst keeping an ambient sound like that of Dead Cities and Digital Shades. Strongly recommend, senpai.

You guessed right, and I shouldn't be quick to judge. I've heard a few songs from their earlier albums since my mom was a fan of theirs around that time, but not full albums.

Give them a try. After Parachutes and Rush of Blood, they were poised to be the new Radiohead, after Radiohead got bored of rock. Those two albums are each as good as The Bends, or close, anyway, IMO.
But, instead of making an OK Computer, Coldplay made X&Y, which is a fine album but more of a stadium rock sort of deal. I guess they hit their ceiling and didnt really blow anyone's mind with X&Y. Still a pretty good album, well-produced.
Speaking of production, they enlisted the help of Brian Eno for Viva La Vida which is just really good.
After that, Mylo was kinda bad though it had some good moments IMO. Ghost Stories was kind of forgettable as is the new one.
