Also, I realise no-one else probably gives a shit about this but I've modified my version of The Fragile to be like the vinyl version plus Appendage from the cassette and Adrift and at Peace, which was mentioned by Reznor as a coda to La Mer (and it works really well). I also removed Starfuckers, Inc. because that song blows and doesn't fit at all

I used to feel the same about it until I saw the live version with that extended "Only Time" ending and that somehow made me respect it a lot more.

I like to run on my treadmill to Nine Inch Nails .Usually they're only an hour long each album with PHM being a short run and Fragile and Ghosts being epic runs.
Hesitation Marks is a really nice beat to it, but I have have to stop at the end of While I'm Still Here. Black Noise freaks me out too much. I mean, nearly panic attack levels thinking about death or Black Holes swallowing the earth sort of freak outs.

You know, it took forever to like With_Teeth, but I managed to do it. It wasn't his best work, but it was clearly a very personal album which 15 year old me could not understand but 25 year old me could.
Usually his other works have a separation between him and what he was writing, usually through theme, but this time around he was writing flat out about himself. I liked that he was willing to take that sort of risk.
That said, some of his choices were juvenile. (Looking right at you Sunspots)
