But, seriously, what's wrong with it?
>>

thqh its not even that bad but when it gets edgy...
>>
Nothing's wrong with it, ppl just h8 mainstream stuffs in general.
>>
I don't know what we're fighting for
>>
Lyrics, should have just ditched the guitars too if that's the best they could do in the riff department.
>>
Just the lyrics. The instrumetals are still at the top of the eldergod-tier for nu-metal (maybe not saying much, but w/e)

This would go on it.

It's a 4/10.

The lyrics are cringe-inducing, and the instrumentation is lacking, but they at least had a handle on melody and catchy choruses. And Christ knows they knew how to market to edgy pre-teens. Plus, I think "Cure For The Itch" is actually interesting.

Fucking this.
>>
nothing its actually pretty good
easily a 9/10
>>
>>61947470
Nothing.
>>
It's good at what it does, but what it does is cater to teenagers who want some easily accessible "edgy but emotional" music that sounds tougher than rock but not quite as gritty as hip hop or metal, and less silly than Limp Bizkit.

So yeah, it gets good marks, but for hitting an easy target.

I agree

I have a little nostalgia for them and even with that I can't really enjoy it

Genuinely anxious but also dumb kids fall into these things as a trap all the time.

Kill yourselves, and I dont even think Mastadon is as good as people make them out to be but Leviathan and Crack the Skye are objectively good

Hybrid theory is decent, but not special. Some songs are okay, some even good.

Lots of cringe inducing lyrics that try to be deep but end up falling short bother me a little. Talking about addiction, for example, and people interpreting it just general teenage-whine white noise.

There's a reason it's by far their best production to date, because they actually put half a decade's worth of work into it.
>>
I've always liked In The End, especially the piano, and Bleed It Out has a really nice rhythm.

I was all about LP way back when, and I tried listening to it a few months ago. It was seriously still enjoyable, even if some of the lyrics were a bit much. I like Meteora too.
>>
>>61952409
That was spectacular.
>>
There is nothing wrong, also there is nothing special about it.
>>
>>61947470
The thing that bothers me the most nowadays is the weird, cheesy, outdated rapping.
>>
I can't enjoy Linkin Park anymore but I really like Nine Inch Nails. Pretty Hate Machine is a great first album.
>>
Is there a such thing as good edgy music?

Nothing, it's a very enjoyable album and it does what it does well.
I don't really care for the lyrics much but there's definitely something in there that everyone can relate to, which is why so many people and especially teens love it.
>>
I give it a perfect 5/7
