Life are absolutely beautiful, don't let the fog of depression hide the beauty of life from you anons ~

Just think about how incredible it is that we got to live at all. that we got to conceive anything, that we got to experience an experience as amazing as beauty - and not only that, but incredible beauty is easy to find just by watching the sunset or waking up early enough to see the dawn ~

Think bigger anons, and understand how incredible it is that you even got to be alive ~
>>
>>61898959
I would say speak for yourself, but have you heard of meyers briggs? Well it would be more like 50 50, people with Fe would agree with you however people with Fi are more likely to be able to indulge in moody art without it ruining their day
>>
>>61899024
It's true though
>>
>>61899008
Nice pseudo-psych breakdown of the significance of the Myers Briggs and it being a system to perfectly compartmentalize 16 different personality types neatly.

It's a spectrum. I'm not saying it ruins your whole day, but happy music makes most people happy and depressing music can ruin someone's mood for a few minutes.
>>
>>61899008
You're trying to make the Myers-Briggs sound like a perfect scale with rigid borders and you're saying that all thinkers aren't emotionally affected by music to some degree.
>>
>>61899080
Myers Briggs is accurate from my experience, I've noticed friends with Fe are more likely to go out of their way and control what they take in, because Fi's actual mood is internally determined instead of externally determined, also people with Fi are more likely to explore negative feelings without judgement while Fe would stay away from it at all costs
>>
>>61899128
Not at all, it's about the functions really. How you take in information, the outcome of someones character however is different individual to individual.
>>
>>61899147
It's accurate but you're not thinking of it as the spectrum that it is.

>>61899163
How you take in information is the same, how you process it and react to it is different. You're falling into a trap of taking the test too literally. There are people who are toward the thinking side who feel emotions from music.
>>
>>61899196
Thinkers still have emotions, and feelers still have the ability to think rationally. It's more of a preference for the way you process shit, the only reason I take it seriously is how accurate it's been for me and the people I know.
>>
>>61899252
I know it's accurate, I'm just telling you that it can't be used to make a statement like

"All thinkers are emotionally unaffected by music"

You're oversimplifying literally the most complex object in the universe.
>>
>>61899320
Never implyed that, the whole time I was talking about functions. Thinkers do have feeling functions as feelers have thinking functions. Even if you do have a dominant function according to mbti, doesn't mean as a human you're going to go out of character occasionally either, humans are complex and messy the whole mbti thing is about generalities for the most part, and it's pretty accurate at that.

>Well it would be more like 50 50, people with Fe would agree with you however people with Fi are more likely to be able to indulge in moody art without it ruining their day

You said it would be around 50-50, an even balance between the two.

I'm telling you that most thinkers also feel some noticeable emotion when they hear music.

Not only that, but I don't think we have any numbers saying that 50% of people are thinkers and 50% are feelers. I think you pulled that out of your ass because you just assumed it broke down perfectly.

Don't fall into the underclassman psych major syndrome. This shit is much more complicated than it seems at first and you need to be cautious with the generalizations you make.
>>
>>61899487
Maybe it's not perfectly 50/50, however I'm almost certain that 90 percent of people aren't Fe types.
>>
>>61899546
Dude, how is it possible that you're still missing my point? I had to do a double-take to see if you seriously are still not getting what I'm saying.
>>
>>61899571
No I get what you're saying, but you're slightly misconstruing what I was originally saying.

The Polyphonic Spree is the ultimate happy band especially considering the backstory of how they started
>>
>>61899597
I think your assertion that all or even most thinkers don't feel some bit of emotion according to the emotional mood of the music when they hear it is ridiculous. Most people will feel some little bit of sadness when hearing really sad music, and some little bit of happiness when listening to happy music.

>listening to happy music doesn't make you happy, listening to sad music doesn't make you sad

That's how you started this out, then I said most people would disagree with you. Then you said that you think it's 50/50 because half of people are thinkers instead of feelers.

something something

Now we're here. I'm not gonna call you a faggot or some shit man, I'm just saying people feel things when they hear music.
>>
>>61899825
You definantly do feel things when you hear music, but how you interpret those feelings and how they affect you is different for different types of people. I wouldn't say one type is that greatly representative of all of humanity, I should also say that some T types have Fe and some have Fi, the difference here is Fe and Fi how you process feelings, that's all I'm saying it's a general difference.

>Life are absolutely beautiful

Yes it is.

But not for me, fog of depression or not.

>Just think about how incredible it is that we got to live at all.
>Think bigger anons, and understand how incredible it is that you even got to be alive ~

That's hardly big at all. Thats setting for the bare minimum and being happy about it.
>>
>>61899001
Sometimes what's depressing and painful can open your eyes to beauty though.
>>
>>61900445
Yeah, keep telling yourself taking life for granted is the key to happiness.

at least those people are happy. Why does the minimum matter, wouldn't you rather just be happy?
