There were a few releases of footwork deconstruction but the grime deconstruction wave was way more prolific than the footwork one.

The ingredients to a good micro genre are that it has to be electronic and it has to have a cool original aesthetic, the whole making a new microgenre died after ocean grunge because grunge music actually takes musical talent while vaporwave was just slowing down and older song
