JYP artists make their own stuff in recent years. 2PM did for all the tracks on No 5 and the Wonder Girls will be on their next album. Day6 did too. They won't let rookies other than Day6 do it though. BTS blew away everyone this year. If a girl group could do what they did last year this year it'd be great.

Maybe i'm not captivated because RV and f(x) were specifically designed to draw in both a male and female audience with their concepts. A conservative approach if you ask me, a big company strategy used to steadily build upon what they already have.
Compare that to groups like Stellar and Dal Shabet, which need to carve out a specific niche and experiment to sell anything.
Just because a company's big doesn't mean they're going to experiment. The bigger you get, the more beholden you are to investors who want to protect their assets. A small company, on the other hand, has every incentive to try something new.
