Albums where nothing beyond the opener is worth your time
Haha you're joking right?
Blackstar is good front to back, the weakest track being the closer. The instrumentation, the vocal melodies, the lyrics themselves, the production (debatably the best production on a Bowie album). Everything shines on Blackstar. The album is too good for it's own good, and it's fucking lame that people like you try and put it down.

>>61870290
I actually think the complete opposite, in regards to Blackstar - the first track is the worst, and the rest of the album is the only bit worth your time
>>61870589
Wrong, sue is worst song, then blackstar

'Tis a Pity > Blackstar

Nigger, sue is the second best song on the album
The entire album is great. I don't dislike a single track.
>>61870899
As long as you agree either Girl Loves Me or Tis A Pity is the best song, you can believe whatever you want
I'm not emotionally prepared for Blackstar yet.
>not liking Lazarus
>not liking Girl Loves Me
>not liking Dollar Days
This immediately came to mind.
Instantly popped into mind.

lots of people feel this way when they first listen to it
then it becomes their favorite album
Okay, maybe Jesus He Knows Me is worthwhile as well, but it's downhill after the GOAT opener either way.
:^)

>>61870356
I've listened to this albums three times to try and pick up things I may have missed, but this album fails to be interesting IMO. I don't know if the appeal is in the lyrics since I can't relate to them. The instrumentation uses a lot of basic 4/4 rhythms and the occasional harsh sax to make it "dynamic". Help me see the light in this record. It seems bland at the moment.

>>61873890
I hate everyone who has this opinion. Yes, there are lots of shitty filler tracks, but there are at least 3 better songs than the opener.

Wow, you must really know what you're talking about anon.

>The instrumentation uses a lot of basic 4/4 rhythms
The vast majority of popular music uses 4/4 almost exclusively. I don't know how you can call the drumming on Blackstar "basic".
>>61874225
Abso-fucking-lutely.
This kills the thread because no album can fit the description better than this one.

HurryUp.We'reDreaming. is M83's worst album. TOO fucking poppy. Their best album's were Dead Cities, Red Seas and Lost Ghosts, Digital Shades Vol. 1, and Saturdays = Youth
