circle jerking on 1 our 2 good clubs is what kills a city's nightlife, diversity and eclecticism is what makes a local scene good.
being able to chose from a handful of different club all with their own god-tier vibe, new and old is what matters.

In Bristol you've got a few options:
1. Motion: Fabric/Warehouse Project level, lots of big names, think Andy C and such. Also puts on some smaller names from RAM/RUN/Hospital. Lot's of deep house nights here too, frequented by stuck up cunts from the University in bomber jackets for the later events.
2. Lakota: Less big name acts, can still throw a good night.. lot's of techno/D&B/Garage/Trance. Smaller than Motion, pretty grim inside.
3. Black Swan: It's a pub that puts on a shit tonne of Techno, Reggae, Dub, anything with a fuck tonne of bass. Grimy, small, fair chance of being shot.
These aren't the only venues but some of the best, Note: You may hear about Thekla. Don't go, it's days of Massive Attack are behind it, I like it as a student piss up but that's about it.
