Do you like him? Genius or overrated hack?
What are your favourite releases?
He's a bit cheesy. I like the Masada stuff though.
This is very good
Naked City doesn't have much replay value but the first couple albums are good nonetheless. Femina is a cool album to boot.
Naked City is good, Masada is good (although they should have done like half the amount of albums), some of the newer stuff is good but he just releases so many different things I've long ago given up trying to keep up with all releases

I think the first Naked City album is great - I listen to it pretty regularly
especially the short tracks with Eye are much better I think when you're familiar with them and anticipate what's coming rather than only being good for one time shock value
if he had only released his best albums, he would be a great artist. but when evaluating his entire body of work, there's too much fluff

I appreciate that he is a very talented player and composed some very original music but I can't stand him. Even his more accessible work irks me.
One of the best musicians and composers to come out of the Downtown scene.
The new Dreamers album is pretty good.
