In dire need of recs for a specific sound. Dark, kinda raw/punky/energetic, slightly surfy guitars. My favorite local band sounds like this and I know I've heard stuff like it but I can't think of any.

The closest I can think of is Wipers

Any word on if daughters are ever getting back together?
>>

I never talk to him about it because I don't wanna pry/generally don't care as much as whatever else we're talking about. I know they were in studio a couple years ago but I have no clue what came of that. AFAIK they're kinda just in limbo right now.

He's a pretty cool dude and at this point I'm kinda past the whole "WHOA DAUGHTERS GUITARIST OMG" thing so it usually doesn't even cross my mind to bring it up.

sorry I didn't have any new info anon

Yeah, my album of the year last year. All of those bands are absolutely quality and sounds like they might be your thing. From the bandcamp link to Way Out it sounds like you like guitars with chorus effects, you'll probably really like the new Eagulls stuff when it comes out:

and whilst im recommending music I should plug my mates' band Prison Whites. Really good, a little bit closer to The Replacements and Wipers than the other stuff I sent: https://prisonwhitesuk.bandcamp.com/

and ye feel free to post locals/friends, as I did with Way Out. They're some of my favorite people and one of my favorite bands period so if you got the same feelings for someone in your scene don't ge afraid to post em

I've got tickets to this, best lineup I've seen in a long time.
>>
>>61834925
jealous af

I saw Sievehead posted on r/postpunk or some shit a few months ago and I've been hooked since. Missed Eagulls like a year 1/2 ago because the club was strictly 18+ and I was 10 days short
>>
wait do you mean "post punk" as in posting punk rock recs or "post-punk" as in recs for post-punk

http://sharktoothrecords.bandcamp.com/album/dirger

This local band called Learning is the closest thing to your description I can think of, they're pretty awesome too imo. The song Iraqi Emos for example is fantastic.
Their first album Culkin is good and sort of fits what you're looking for, but I think Dirger is a better album overall and you can really hear how they matured between the two.

will listen when home, thx

These bands fit your description pretty well, but don't really sound like the band that you posted. Anyway, they're great.
