Why do you listen to so much music that you dislike?
>>61821069
Why do you keep coming back to music if most shit you listen to you hate? This goes for everyone with RYM curves like this
it's alright i guess
>>61821288
>those rating descriptions
cringe
>>61821315
you cringe easily
>>61821286
>>61821277
i know someone that does this. They have an "alternate system" where they only rate stuff they like, and for some stupid reason they start at the bottom and work their way to the top.. so a 1/5 would be like a 6/10 for them.
I'm assuming these others are doing the same.
>>61821342
I doubt it desu
>>61821342
Yes. They do it to allow more margin between what they consider good albums, but their autism is actually upsetting the average scores of albums.
>>61821187
Kys yourself
>>61821387
I know, I don't advocate it at all and think it's stupid and a shitty way to use a database system like RYM.
>>61821342
yeah it's called 'positive system'
"It's easier for me to quantify how much I like something instead of how much I dislike it" is their excuse
>>61821196
I never really had it
Don't tell anyone
>>61821160
Hell yeah

how to do it? go to account & under ratings you can label them.
Wonder if I will find an album worth .5 stars...
i like positive systems desu, but theyre too counterintuitive for me, so ill end up rating inaccurately. my current one is pretty stupid but easy
>>61821591
Listen to Halsey
>>61821585
how?
>>61821637
holy shit
I like my curve
>>61821619
I don't want to intentionally find bad shit. If I really wanted to find a .5 I'd listen to Miley or pull some really bad bandcamp stuff. I just want to find an album then for some reason fucking hate it.

How do you name your ratings like 5.0 'basically perfect'. Sorry I am new to RYM.
I have only been listening to albums since around August so I do not have many ratings yet. Also I like to listen to something 2 or 3 times before I rate it. I am listening to Kid A for the fourth time right now and then I think I will rate it.
it used to be somewhat respectable, please believe me
>>61827605
I found out how to name ratings never mind

Why even listen to music at this point?
How do I label my sections?
>listen to something
>if i like it i rate it
>if I don't, i forget about it and move on
am i the only one who uses RYM as a tool to help find more good music?
