i for one absolutely love it

I like it much more than i was expecting to. A couple tracks drag it down but there are some real jammers too. Especially yonder blue, i was not excited about the guest vocal tracks at all and that was a nice surprise.

Leaked months ago and is shit.
pretty good
Been listening to it since the leak. It's grown on me but I'm still finding it uneven and slightly disappointing. Then again I'm a huge fan so I was a little too hyped for my own good.
Also, Beacons is criminally underrated and is their third or maybe even second best album (obviously nothing tops MNLWND)
Rock On gave me throat cancer and burned my eyebrows

Why do comeback albums from 90s bands always have such diabolical covers?
m b v, uncanney valley, sol invictus, the list goes on
Gesceap is definitely a top 10 Tortoise track. Yonder Blue would be really nice if the vocals weren't buried in the mix. Rock On is weird, it sounds like a parody of shitty hard rock except it's played completely straight

m b v's cover wasn't that bad and this one has actually kind of grown on me.
I'm in my late 30's and got the self-titled record shortly after it came out. It makes me a bit sad that this is the first new stuff from Tortoise many of you are hearing. This doesn't sound fresh at all. Just a bunch of friends getting together to jam. No interest in presenting a cohesive or ambitious vision.
That being said, some of the tracks are pleasant. I'll still listen to this and enjoy it. Maybe it will grow on me.
