i was going to violently disagree but then i had a bit of a think
drake and weezer both
>peaked with their first album, not exactly a complex or meaningful record but a well-composed and well-executed pop album
>released a second album which garnered a lot more critical acclaim for its ham-handed and juvenile attempts at deeper themes and emotions and whatnot
>then gradually lost their identity and transitioned into just going along with whatever's trendy to have as much commercial appeal as possible
