literally every time I've used the term to describe people that ONLY listen to bands from the 60s/70s I'd get replies like "just because it's old doesn't make it bad" or "better that than whatever trendy pitchfork shit you hipsters listen to"
so yes, it seems like people jump to the conclusion that I'm commenting on the quality of the music rather than how limited their taste is. plenty of people here listen to pink floyd, hendrix, cream, rolling stones, the who, etc. the only dadrock band I see getting constant hate is ac/dc.
