if you don't like the space opera aesthetic that's fine, but being incredibly overblown is the point. they do overblown pretty well, in my opinion - the grooves are quite directed and build up tension very smoothly, and they transition between more djenty and more symphonic sections pretty smoothly. It's fucking shallow but I can't not enjoy that synth lead on Zoticus and how it interacts with the groove.
I admit they're pretty shit, but they're shit with panache.
