I'm 45 y.o. and been listening to hip-hop since before it even had a name. Contrary to popular opinion, I don't think the genre is 'dead'. It is evolving and there is more good hip-hop now than the 90's. Just have to look for it and stop depending on the radio/TV to spoonfeed you like the 'good ol' days'.
