Try this holmes. Not too dark, but the shit behind it and the ensuing songs makes it. Masta Ace was on top back in the 90s, but he waited around too long and almost faded into complete obscurity. This album was his goodbye to hip-hop before returning in 2004 with the classic A Long Hot Summer.

Not saying youre wrong necessarily, but how does that make it a meme? At all? its an abstract portrayal of an angry kid. I will agree with you that the description is awful but Im pretty sure its supposed to be ironic. Im not sure. Although I do see why he wants to encourage listening to it high. The first time I heard it I wasnt really paying attentiona dn wrote it off, but eventually came back to it and really gave it a chance. Its very well put together, the way the songs are structured. Lyrics are usually impressive too, but there are a couple bad moments.

Nah Angry Kid was deep. Thats the thing about deep albums, most people dont get it. Its a trippy deep though, like it isnt one you can really translate into words. Some cringy moments yea thats why I only gave it an 8.5 but I can see it going down as a classic in its own lane. Not even exaggerating.

Faces is still his best work and much darker than either GOOD AM or Watching Movies. Good AM sounds like he's cleared up and out of the woods of depression to some extend, and Watching Movies always seemed too pretentious and try-hard "art" for my tastes, but I appreciate it, albeit less than most fans of the album.

I don't like shit is better than Doris in every imaginable facit. Though there were flashes of the brilliance that makes IDLS so good on Doris, like Sunday, IDLS is still a much better album. Doris feels like the album he felt he had to make to appease his fans that were a fan of EARL, but his head and heart weren't in it so they fell short. IDLS felt like the album he genuinely wanted to make.
