Which is the best Bowie album?
>>61681219
The Man Who Sold the World
Station to Station is my favorite, but The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust is generally regarded as his best album.
>>61681219
You posted it
Related note, did anyone else come close to tearing up when you heard "A New Career in A New Town" playing in "I Can't Give Everything Away" at the end of Blackstar?

>Tfw I'll never experience listening to The Width of a Circle before heavy metal was even a thing
>>61681219
Ziggy>S2S>Blackstar>Low>Heroes
Hunkey Dorey, easily.
But Low and Blackstar are both close runner ups
My favorite so far is Heroes

nope you just think that because he's dead
>>61681896
that's what she said
>>61681896
No, I actually felt exactly the same way since I listened to the leak. His death just made me love the album concept of death even more
>>61681293
The fact that he knew what was coming gives the whole album a new context, doesn't it.
1. Station to Station
2. Hunky Dory
3. Ziggy Stardust
4. The Man Who Sold the World
5. Low
Fucking niggers we all know that the two best albums are Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars and now Blackstar as the second best album.
And there you have it.
>>61681896
His death is what made the album awesome. Now it sounds even better.
>>61681293
I cried.
>>61682440
Shame on you
"Heroes" > Station to Station > Aladdin Sane > Blackstar > Ziggy > Low > The Man Who Sold the World > Diamond Dogs > Scary Monsters > Young Americans > Heathen > Hunky Dory > Lodger > Earthling > Reality > The Next Day > Outside > Buddha of Suburbia > Space Oddity > 'Hours...' > Pin Ups > Tonight > Never Let Me Down > Black Tie White Noise
>>61683164

>>61683164
Oops, put Let's Dance in between Hunky Dory and Lodger
>>61683242
No need; my list is done.
>>61681293
my mom called me in from the other room and played it for me (i'd listened already), and she pointed out the harmonica to me and asked, 'What is that? It sounds familiar'
I explained 'That's the harmonica from another song of his, from the Low album. I can point out the exact one, you'd probably remember as soon as you heard it. That's from my favorite album of his-'
then i choked up a little and slinked off to my room, she choked up watching Lazarus
i listened to New Career and fuckin cried
I Cant Give Everything Away is such an unbelievably sweet song when you get down to it, it feels like he was speaking directly to us, in just the kindest way
>>61683164
Not bad, but I can't abide by Space Oddity being that low.
>>61683164
>Never Let Me Down anywhere but last
Come on man, Black Tie White Noise isn't all bad
>>61683164

>>61683967
4 days bro. lazarus, etc.
wednesday, he'll be back.
pls
>>61683967
Anon, he went out as a rock star. He died as he lived, a star. He lived his art to the very end, even when he was staring Death in the eye.
Don't be sad he died. Be happy he lived.
>>61684039
Thats fucking gay and he died of cancer, not of a hooker and coke OD
>>61684002
You realize Lazarus was not Jesus, right?
>>61684051

REMINDER THAT HE ACTUALLY DIED OF AIDS FROM GAY SEX. BUTT SEX KILLS
>>61683733

Station to Station will always be my favorite. Low, Heroes, and Blackstar come close though.
>>61684051
Bowie is tho
>>61683683
>Let's dance in shit tier
Fuck off cunt.
>>61684185
Suck it shitbag.
>>61684195
You're actually the dumbest cunt.
>>61684206
Not really, insulting someone because of their music taste is a sign of stupidity.
>>61684218
Just because you don't personally like something doesn't make it "shit" either. I don't like a lot of albums but I can still respect the music without calling it shit.
>>61684231
That's why it's my opinion. I think it's shit. That's the point of making a list. I don't like VU&N, but i recognize that it's a good album.
>>61684278
>I think it's shit
Your opinion is void anyway considering you didn't justify why you think its shit. If you're going to go against the grain at least give a well justified reason you insufferable faggot.
>>61683670
Yes for me It's
Scary monsters>S2S>Low>all the rest
>>61684290
There's just no reasoning with people like you. Go back to middle school.
>>61684290
And here's my justification. It's boring, it's bland and it's unimaginative.
Low, Heroes (my fav) and Station to station are GOAT
>>61681219
I always say it depends on what Bowie you like.
Personal one? Hunky Dory
Glam Rock one? Diamond Dogs
Rock with a bit of glam? The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust
General one, as a musician, an artist? Low
Overall, and if you're not a Bowie fan, just like good music, Low. But if you get into Bowie's person, you may find another one.
I like the funkiness of Station to Station. It's the most enjoyable for me, but Low is good too.
