It's been a while since I listened to that of Montreal Four Track Recording album, I feel they're one band I can listen to the entire discography (and while some albums are better than others obviously) I can still enjoy it the whole way through, especially watching their sound evolve.

I feel like everyone saw something else in Art Angels that I missed. I still don't get the hype, and I'm a big fan of synthpop and female vocalists. Maybe it's just not for me. I've put off listening to that Vashti Bunyan album for a bit now, it's definitely on my to-listen list, I've just been going through random albums and artists I've put off for a while, lately a lot of female vocalists, so that'd fit in nice

pop compilations are almost always better than the artist's mainline releases imo, ofc new order is def an exception but the fact stands that substance serves as a fantastic intro to new order's prime and as a fantastic stand alone listening experience
