He was truly my favorite, bros.
The past five years I've journeyed through his discography, listened to it all, for better or worse. I've never had such an emotional connection to an artist. He had such a vivid imagination and he managed to capture it into his music and give it to us for all to hear. His eccentric personality helped too. Look at his interviews in the 70's and he's such a coked up qt. And with the end of his life, especially the video for Lazarus, you can see that he did this all intentionally as the ultimate form of artistic expression. He made his death something to be celebrated. We should not be sad. He knew his death was coming. Now he's free like the bluebird.
