Actually quite the opposite: when I first heard DG from a friend I really liked it, then I realized it was Reddit-approved and Fantano liked it, so I had to rethink how good they actually were.

Death Grips Re interesting and abrasive, they write great songs but those songs don't really work too well within the confines/context of an album. I think people would enjoy their music more if they just stuck to releasing ep's or albums that only went for about 30 minutes each.

Well OP, let me tell about the time I first time I listened to death grips high. I had been doing heroin for around 2 years and I had just lost my job at the local Tesco. I was sad and depressed, and since I had no money, I had no heroin to cheer me up. I was on the edge of a bridge, when my friend found me and took me into his home. He knew I'd had drug problems, and gave me a CD to listen to whenever I was feeling the temptation to do drugs. Surely enough, it worked. Every morning I would listen to that CD before I went out job searching. I found another job in the end, and finally managed to kick my drug habit.
It had been 5 months later and my friend who had given me the CD died from cardiac arrest. When I attended his wake, I requested the DJ to play the CD, since it was so special to me. Everyone was confused as to what this music was, and despite this, I felt happy and comfortable. I had not touched heroin... or any other drug for that matter, ever since, and it was all thanks to that CD.
Yes, The Money Store was the CD that got me through being cold turkey, and I wasn't high on drugs, I was high on life.

When I saw DG live I took like 40mg of hydrocodone + 1mg of xan. It was fucking awesome till near the end. I had to look down and just let the mosh people push me wherever they wanted me to go because I felt tired as fuck. Obviously xanax can make you tired, but in this case it felt like physical exhaustion from all the jumping and pushing around I did. I was covered in my own sweat as well as everyone else's. Very energetic show. They played all my favorite songs.
