You nailed it its just a lot trippier and less reliant on humor. The second half on Wai Tu Long Song sounds like Eminem going off on Groundhog Day go listen to that track if you havent heard it. The second half not the long, repetitive, lyric-heavy first half. If Im honest Id say he sounds more like Earl than either of the two rappers you named.
I still find it funny that some guys makes a gem, shoves it onto /mu/, /mu/ admits its great, and he remains entirely underground and irrelevant. Just funny. I have listened to it four times so far and it just grows on me more and more.

Since TPAB was my top album of 2015, I'll post some albums I thought were pretty underrated in 2015 and are worth a listen and my favorites from said albums
>Carpenter Brut - EP III
A synthwave EP. He also released an album titled Trilogy which is just EPs 1-3 in an album. If you like synthwave or retrowave, or whatever you call it, this is obviously worth a listen.

>Mutemath - Vitals
This album was really poppy, even for Mutemath. The songs are really catchy though. Great indie/pop album in general.
