We've been listening to the new Bowie album a lot in the past few weeks (he got an advance copy for his contributions to the record). We've been listening to a lot of underground/experimental 80s post-punk. A lot of it is international, some stuff I didn't even know existed prior to meeting him.

Honestly, it's a lot of doing what you're told. I've made suggestions to him about places to take a certain song or section, but at the end of the day, it's his vision. So I just do what's asked of me

Oh gotcha. Yeah, we're aiming to get the album finished before the end of the month. As for when it comes out, I'm not sure. I can say, however, that everyone in the band is in agreeance that a surprise release is not the way to go. We've been floating around the idea of releasing it in April or May, but James wants the release date to be public info at least two months before the actual release itself
