This one forum by far is the best place to discuss music. And it's not that popular but not slow either.
The users are friendly. All there share great taste in music. They all have such a wonderful sense of humor. You'll be making fast friends and have great discussions here.

Letstalkmusic subreddit is the only good music related subreddit I've found, all the other ones are shitty and memey

typical /mu/ thread: god tier hip hop
/mu/ is great, but if you don't know how to use it, then I would recommend RYM, ILX, Steve Hoffman Forums, and forums of your favorite bands/genres.

You are welcome, but remember that /mu/ is probably the best one there is (if you know how to use it).

It's easy to use I just don't like the shitposting. The discussion isn't exactly anything to write home about either

>I just don't like the shitposting.
Use the catalog. Ignore shit posters. Problem solved.
>The discussion isn't exactly anything to write home about either
That's your fault, not /mu/'s. I can always find a nice discussion whenever I look for it (because I make it happen).

>Use the catalog. Ignore shit posters. Problem solved.
That's what I do. It's the fact that
1. The majority of posts are shitposting
2. It sometimes ends up derailing the threads that have legitimacy in them anyway
It's not that I can't find interesting discussion, it's that usually people would not be interested in the music I'm interested in (e.x. starting a thread about a specific album and it ends up getting <5 replies). I wish there was a place for discussion without any of the bullshit
>>61570562
1) You can still ignore them. Shit posting has never been a problem for me, so why should it be for you? You are looking for excuses, to make yourself think it's "their" fault instead of "yours"
2) Same as before. Ignore derailers. Why would you even care about people talking about off-topic stuff when you are already having a discussion with somebody else?
>making a thread for a single album
Yeah, you fucked up right there. Try to be less specific next time, because you are going to get zero replies on any music forum that way (unless you post very popular stuff)
