why does some songs i'm playing on guitar have like 3 notes one after another? when i'm playing on my keyboard i only find songs to be in a scale that has that half stap thing going on twice
>>
what?
>>
Not sure what you're trying to ask. Are you talking about chromatic notes on guitar?

this for example

A lot of guitar music is Phrygian
Maybe that's what OP means

Look it up

i dont understand this that's the problem

i cant understand the terminology in english and the pages on wiki aren't fully translated to my native language

To save you some time
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phrygian_dominant_scale

Lot of people don't bother learning about modes but I find it useful for shorthand, YMMV
>>
im using the keyboard only for DAW and the guitar for plain fun
but i get confused because in all my music theory learning i've never noticed any piano scale that has 3 half steps

Ah shite, sorry

Ok well basically Phrygian sounds a bit like flamenco music and it features heavily in a lot of metal tracks
Like every single Metallica track for example
>>
>>61554461
so is it used only in real instruments music?
>>
>>61554496
no. blues uses it. I use it because it gives music a silly cartoony feeling and people are not used to chromatic approaches.
In the end, play what sounds interesting to you. You sound like you're just noodling on the guitar instead of actually practicing too
