Post your home studio /mu/.

I'm having a lack of musical creativity and want to swoon over your sweet ass setups.

Pic related, it's where I stare at walls for hours and listen to the same 16 bar loops endlessly.

kek what a waste of money. It's like someone tooling up to produce horse-drawn carriages in 1930.

My setup is about as inspirational as a morbidly obese toddler but alright
>>
>>61545633
is that a gaia? how is it... i'm looking to get an 'analog' mopho
>>
>>61545580
took a hiatus from working with bands to produce EDM. I'm not proud haha. Hoping to get back into making real music.

Soundcloud.com/ahea was my solo stuff
>>
>>61545751
It's alright to use sporadically, but if you that warm analog sound I would advise looking somewhere else
That being said it's a great tool for playing around and getting a lot of different sounds
>>
>>61545625
It's a cheap setup. RP8, delta lab disto and delay, behringer verb and a tuner.
>>
>>61545967

I fucking knew it.

you spoiled little shit, you're just not creative

I don't think you really understand the purpose of a home studio.

feels bad man. wished i lived in the middle of nowhere or some shit so i can just make music all hours of the night.

desu you look like a shitty neighbor to have.
>>
>>61546147
No, I do. It's to play at your fantasies that one day people will actually care about you, what you do, what you think about things, etc. Sadly, you've chosen music as the vehicle of communication, which could not be any more stupid in 2016.

How many hours a day do you guys practice/play? I average around 1.5-2 a day and i always feel like im not putting enough time in. Although after a while it can feel exhausting when ur still shit and need way more practice to actually play something you like (been playing ~4 months).

>>61546349
It's not that expensive m9, and plenty of people still manage to make money that way. There's far more to music than your shitty FL beetz. Sometimes that requires gear to accomplish properly. Hell, a home studio isn't even adequate if you've got anything ambitious in mind.

Yeah, I'm sure yours isn't.

No. They don't. Seriously, name a few for me.

Both of these sound reeeeetarded

You can do a lot of shit with either a studio or software. You don't need high end equipment though, you can produce a good album on a fucking 4 track. And you can't really make money off of it though, too many people are making music today, even if you're actually original. Fuck trying to make money off of it though, if that's why you're doing music you shouldn't be doing it. It's all about having fun and doing your thing and shit, you don't have to take it so damn seriously.

Anon! Tell me how those Orange amps are. I sold my old Spider III, looking for a new amp and saw that one.

Looking for the cleanest I can get, I want to hear my guitar as much as possible without distortion, etc. If I want effects I have my pedal board for that.
>>
>>61546349

Acoustic treatments, they're to even out the frequency response of the room so you can better hear what you're doing. OP's actually aren't very good though. Fiberglass board works better, and it should be a couple inches off the wall.
>>
>>61546866
I love it, and love no other.

It will be clean at low volumes but as you turn it up to high it will dirty some , but many like that.
>>
>>61546781
You're making some really dumb arguments, here. The point isn't what's sufficient to make something good, it's what's sufficient to do what you want to do. And if you want an orchestral string section that doesn't sound like canned MIDI crap, you need significant resources.

>And you can't really make money off of it though
Actually the music industry does still exist.

>It's all about having fun and doing your thing and shit, you don't have to take it so damn seriously.
Some people have more in mind than "fun".
>>
>>61547010
>Actually the music industry does still exist.
And now I'm sure I'm talking to Taylor Swift.
>>
>>61547010
Kek right man

But look at your chances of making money off of it. A shit ton of people make music and take themselves way too seriously. I'm not saying you shouldn't do what you want, I'm saying there's no need in arguing about what gear other people should and shouldn't use. I was saying both of the posts were retarded you retard.

And what's the point in doing it if you're not having any fun?

Seriously, there are so many great fucking bands that barely make any money off of it. I'd rather be like them and actually enjoy what I do instead of being yet another shite musician who only wants to make it big

When I'm not studying to receive government benefits, hanging out with friends or doing things it's usually all day. I'm working on making this into a career, so I treat it like a job. When you start doing that you find that you get better noticeably quicker.

Grizzly Bear, a critically acclaimed, well known band has stated in interviews that album sales barely cover a few months rent.

Now quit being a dick, go somewhere else and let us have a nice thread about home studios.
>>
>>61547334
Literally just about every band. Album sales usually equate to shit all, including streaming. The big money's in shifting merch and sync with television/film

What kind of "studio" equipment would I need to produce a high quality, professional hip hop beat album? No words, just beats, with all the bells and whistles ( scratched, skrewed, high quality instrumentation, etc.. ). Something like RJD2. How much would that cost? Could I potentially do it on my home desktop with software from piratebay?
