He's at his most successful point in his career and he's doing that with grime music. Why release another pop single when the grime single is selling more? He tried pop. Didn't work. This is working. If he's not an idiot, he'll stick to what's working.

Grime is too intensely regional for its own good. Also this shite about "it's not an album genre" is annoying. I think Wiley was saying there's a lot of Grime artists who find the transition from MC to artist incredibly difficult. That's true, that needs to be fixed.

There have been good grime albums though. It's been done and it works REALLY REALLY well when it's done right. Boy In Da Corner and Home Sweet Home are 2 of my overall favourite albums to listen to.
Problem is that most of these MCs that rap over grime beats are just fucking gimmicks with no actual ability.
