You know what this means right? Fucking David Bowie is gonna headline. Trust me. They did this shit last time with Portishead. I fucking love Portishead but let's be honest, they aren't "headliner" material here in the states. Then clsoe to event they revealed that the true headliner was Prince. They are gonna do the same shit this year.
I must say though, this year is by far the weakest in terms of Headliners and Sub-Headliners. LCD Soundsystem is great, but apart from that everything else is kinda underwhelming. Like they didn't even get big artist that released albums last year like Kendrick Lamar (a good headliner), Bjork (another good potential headliner), Jaime xx, Travis Scott, and a bunch of other indie fag bands that fit the coachella mold. I am so happy to see Death Grips high up on the card though.

It sounds like you don't go to festivals very often. At a big festival like coachella there is so much to choose from that you can see all sorts of genres. Most big names have some sort of unique component to their shows be it visual or performance based so its fun to to check out all the different areas. The vibes can be oh so different every show at every festival so it can be fun.
A lot of people are just happy to be around people that like the same music as it is an easy conversation starter especially with substances involved.
That said I like Bonnaroo the best.
