What are some good jazz albums to play as you're reading a good book by a warm fireplace on a cold winter's day?
I've used google music radio, Last.fm, youtube, pandora, but I want to know the artists I'm listening to.
>reading a good book

Fucking amen, book reading should be done to trance/Electronica that explore just a few motifs.

Jazz has so much cross referencing that when listening to a new great album, you get turned on to the point where you can't operate any other function besides pure awe and wonder at that beauty.
With that said, my favorite album to do shit to while listening would be metheny/meldhau 'quartet' only because I've listened to it so many times that I can sing along with every note while doing other shit. This album is the meeting of two brilliant minds, orgasming together in perfect unity for a solid hour. Fucking modern brilliance.
But I swear to God if you listen to it and read a book your first time I'll teleport through the Web and woddle your flobbenbaum
