This was big for me in high school and it still is one of my all-time favorite albums.

it might not have the high points of Demon Days or S/T, but the low points are much higher than the low points of the previous two, so it's a lot more enjoyable as an album rather than just a collection of songs, like Demon Days or S/T

To Binge and Empire Ants are really good.
I always skip the orchestral intro and Welcome To The World of the Plastic beach because there just abit boring and I dont like snoop dogg.

Im not saying they should have made PB2&3, just condense all 70 or so songs into one really cohesive, quality album
Also budget wasnt the only reason, Damon and Jamie were on pretty bad terms at the end of phase 3 so making another album straight after the first one was pretty much out of the question anyway
Plastic Beach would have been a god tier 8 track EP.
But no, they had to extend it and ended up with some absolute trash like Sweepstakes, White Flag and Glitter Freeze.
Everyone can hate on the shit tracks all they want - and I'm not disagreeing, some of the tracks I almost always skip - but this album has some amazing production on it. Demon Days will always be the best Gorillaz album, if not one of the most cohesive albums I've ever heard, but Plastic Beach pushed the music even further into the future. You've also got to take into account the intelligence behind this music. A song like Sweepstakes totally blows, but that's intentional. It's just supposed to be a dumb song about being dumb.
Sweepstakes is one of the best tracks, fight me. The build-up with the various loops and the brass ensemble is insane, and the abstract rapping suites the style of the song perfectly.

Glitter Freeze wasn't that bad
don't know why so many people hate Glitter Freeze, I really like it. Broken is the one I like the least. It's not bad, but a little boring for me.
