I mean it was honestly alright, there were some good tracks and I like plunderphonics, but it was taken in a direction that wasn't really my style.
I don't even see anyone post about The Books and I didn't know that Fantano reviewed it until I began listening.

i started a rym just to actively track the jazz i listen to because i wasn't engaging with it properly so i'm relistening to all of my jazz and throwing some ratings around at some other stuff. it's fun.
>>61458811
Hot Rats will grow on you probably if you have just got to know it
>>61458118
Born To Run is a great album, shame about those 3.5 stars
>>61458080
Never really got the hate for Lodger, so I'm happy to see there's someone else who doesn't rate it too low
>>61459231
>if you want it to show up you should bump the rating up when you change it
I know about that, but I don't really feel like doing it just so you won't excuse me being a normie.
>>61459298
fair enough. it's no business to me if you do or not, just giving out information that's all
>>61459307
thanks bae
How do people on rym manage to rate several thousands of albums? I've been registered for more than a year and have 200 ratings.
>>61459786
I listen to new albums every day that's how.
I rejoined in 2014 and already have 881 ratings - don't rate singles either
>>61459786
Stop being a normie shit with a gf, job and friends. It's not that hard.
Going through another Bandcamp phase
>>61459957
Why did you like Court and Spark so much less than Blue?
>>61460108
Are you like me always rating those bancamp things more generous because you feel like these amateur musicians put more heart and soul into their stuff than most acclaimed artists?
>>61460169
Hejira is her best work
>>61460169
>Are you like me always rating those bancamp things more generous because you feel like these amateur musicians put more heart and soul into their stuff than most acclaimed artists?
I generally rate them the same as any other album, I do however have to think twice about giving them a rating on the lower end of the scale, particularly if I was the one who made them an artist profile in the first place. I imagine it must be a shitty feeling to make an album, only to find out the one person who's listened to it on the site gave it a 1.5/5.
It doesn't stop me from doing it but I do feel a small bit of guilt/remorse.
Note: The rating on my own album was part of an experiment my friends did to test the RYM score averaging algorithm
We also did it to each other's albums for shits and giggles
>>61460285
ur album prolly sux shit anyway lol
>>61460313
Probably
>>61460285
link to your album?
>>61460370

I'm really not trying to self-advertise, don't get me wrong. The rating was from yesterday and I just forgot to delete it
>>61460410

If that's all you've heard from Daniel, try looking through the rest of his OPN material first.
Actually, give me a minute to turn on my computer. I have an OPN chart on it that'll help ya. I just woke up, I'm posting from my phone while having breakfast
>>61460596
I also checked out R+7 and GoD, and enjoyed the former quite a bit
