I strongly doubt he was actually trying to sound like death grips or kendrick. That's just what he was vibing to in the studio.

Just finished listening to it for the first time.
As a Bowie fan I'm really happy to hear that he's still making music and seems to be enjoying his life.
I loved the title track the first time I heard it and have been listening to it pretty extensively since its release.
The songs range from good to great with no weak track, Dollar Days being my favourite followed by
Lazarus and 'Tis a Pity.
I felt a little disappointed with the closing track (I Can't Give Everything Away) since it left me wanting more and felt like it ended the album prematurely. It's a good song but one of the weaker cuts of the record, and therefore not really a worthy album closer.
